Our Story
For the past several years, we have been living in Amsterdam — a city that has become our favorite place in the world. It's where we shared our first home together, and where we got engaged last October after nearly ten years together. It has taught us so much about the world and about ourselves, and shaped who we are both as individuals and as a couple.
While we have loved every minute of our life in Amsterdam, we have decided to move back to Chicago to build a home and start a family close to both of our families and dearest friends.
To close this beautiful chapter that has meant so much to us, we have decided to get married in Amsterdam this coming August, surrounded by our immediate families. We are deeply sad that we won't be able to celebrate with all of our loved ones, but we are equally overjoyed to begin our marriage in a place that is so incredibly special to us.
Our ceremony will take place on August 15th, 2026 at the English Reformed Church, led by the priest we were fortunate enough to get to know during our years in the city. Following the wedding, we will honeymoon through Northern Italy and Austria — bucket list destinations we never made it to while living in Europe. After that, it will be time to find our new home in Chicago and start the next chapter.
